Our Installers are trained by our manufacturer’s specifications to properly perform opening alterations, such as reinforcing concrete frames, building new frames or simply reconfiguring existing frames according to Miami-Dade County and the Florida Building Code.

TIME FRAMES, WHAT TO EXPECT?
The time it takes to complete a project varies since every job has different characteristics and specifications. However, a typical three-bedroom, two-bathroom house with 16 windows and 4 doors might take between 4 to 7 business days to complete. Accordion Shutters can be manufactured and installed within 5 days, not including the permit process.

HOW INTRUSIVE OR INVOLVED ARE THE INSTALLATIONS?
For straight-forward replacements in which no alterations to the openings are required, the extent of the work most probably will involve removing the existing stucco around the perimeter of the window (siding), uninstalling the existing security system (done by client’s alarm contractor), removing blinds (performed by the client), and in some cases, removing the window sills. Typically, existing windows can be pulled out as a unit. In some cases, however, older windows may have to be disassembled piece by piece.

FINAL INSPECTIONS
Every window/door installation requires inspection by an inspector of the corresponding municipality. The inspector makes sure that the windows and doors are installed in accordance with the Florida Building Code and the Notice of Product Acceptance of the windows.
